And no I dont mean a Raleigh
Mines a Honda Vigor 650 (FX) Yellow, dont have a current picture, I painted the front mudguard and side panels yellow recently too. Got rid of the box and carrier, just a nice piece of shaped aluminum chequered plate.
Now all I need is the licence SmileySmileySmiley

I've got an '83 Yamaha XS400 DOHC  . But will need to give some tlc and mot before she goes back on the road... hopefully after Perran Meet.
Sorry, no pics on this laptop..  but here's one from the web.

Being a biker through and through, at the moment I've got a Ducati 900ss (goes like stink and handles really well) and an MZ etz 125 for pottering about on (great fun and cheap to run).

I started off with a Suzuki gp100, then 3 Honda cx500's, then a new Suzuki sv650s, then a Yamaha tdm850 which I rode to Hungary and sold here, then a Yamaha 750 exup, then a Ducati 900ss and finally an MZ etz 125. I quite fancy an 1100 Yamaha Dragstar next but ti will be a while before I can afford one Cry

I've got a Honda 650 4, but it hasn't been run for over 8 yrs.
Had loads of bikes over the years, my fave being my Kawasaki EN500 that i customised with lots of chrome and stainless. That bike met a sorry end about 6 yrs ago and i haven't ran one since then.
Would love to get another for commuting/blowing out the cobwebs at the weekend, but everytime my financies improve another bill comes in. Undecided

I'd be happy if I could get my hands on an FJ1200 turbo... I could have some serious fun with that...  a 1983-4 would be nice as they still used chrome then..  Grin

But still got the '83 xs400dohc.. but needs some tlc to make her pretty again, then in for MOT.

Previous bikes..

Loads of c50/70/90s.. got as mot failures and rebuilt for field racing as a kid.
Yamaha xs100.. came in boxes as neighbour destroyed head and pistol. Rebuilt it and used it to take test on.

Then I got a Suzuki GT200X5  .. cracking bike...went all over country on it. 200cc twin.. sounded really nice  as exhaust came out of each pipe in turn.

Also had a suzuki SP370- single cylinder 4 stroker..  real chugger.. but powerful as hell.  Could wheely in all 6 gears. But was sooo heavy..   but really great fun..  lol

Then the Yamaha XS400dohc.. sold in this year by Yamaha for just one year..  1983.  There were a few sold from old stock at agents in 1984. Mainlky sold thru-out eupore and states under slightly different name.

Also got a Suzuki GS550 to rebuild as a streetfighter...  but was forced to sell to fund new head for NEIMa last year..   Cry

So I'm not the only one to have a Honda plastic, er C50 Look at what I did to one of mine not to mention what I did to a C90 (missing 1st gear) I had 4 ish C50's, a H100, the C90 and finally a DT175 (heap of pooh!) The C50 that I painted black was the most fun.  The ''authoroties would never allow it pass a MOT if it were around now!!!!
I'm beginning to hear some of you laugh right now................. That was 25 years ago.

In an early attempt to save money on the daily commute I had one of these. 70+mpg but almost as slow as the Serena I was driving at the time and slightly less fashionable. Overtaking was always fun, you'd be rattling away fine in the slipstream then pull out and get hit by a gust of wind ending up with an HGV giving you a run for your money.

Gave up when I discovered veg oil, free fuel meant the Serena wasn't just warmer, drier and better on the dual carriageways it was cheaper too Tongue

i love bikes i started off when i was sixteen with a gilera 50 but i cant remember the model the timing kept going on it i then had a suzuki ap50, suzuki a100, yamaha yb100 which a hit and run drunk driver knocked me off of and i lost most of my left shin spent three months in stoke mandeville hospital    then i had a derbi senda which was quick for a 50 got 68 mph on the flat out of that, i then decided to grow up and did my test and got a kawasaki er 5 after i got used to bigger bikes i bought an fzr600 which was a bit heavy for me with my weak leg then i bought my beloved cbr600 which i sold last year to pay my income tax bill when my accountant messed my books up  Cry  i've regretted it ever since i'm planning to get another bike tho' when finances allow.

Got a Norton Commando. Had it now for 32 years and almost completed a total nuts and bolts rebuild. just need to buy a new shed to complete it - timing, tappets, oil and tyres.

Thinking about getting a hack to run back and forth to work. Mainly because of the cost of fuel and Severn bridge tolls. Torn between either a Triumph Tiger or 500 single trials bike.

My Vigor 650 would have been a good bike for that run

My last bike on the road was an EN500 Vulcan, lovely bike and miss it dearly.
Also had a few Gp100's myself in my earlier years, I had one with TZR alloys and a trick pipe on (stolen within months of finishing it unfortunately  )
What are you looking at flogging the Eliminator for, if for sale?

bikes Grin
always good to know a forum for cars where theres a couple bikers lurking around
go on then let me try and jog my memory a bit
honda mt50 (had a garage when i was 11 and filled it with scrap bikes that i used to sit and fiddle with )
various honda c50/70/90's and a big (well it was when i was that age) suzuki gt500 - oh and a yamaha rd350 that i ragged the ass off and destroyed before realising what this bike was and how much its worth in todays market Sadeven the old cubs are worth a bit but by hell theyre indestructable - lived in the countryside and we knew most the farmers round there so i used to get to rde them all in fields and wasteland

me first bike on the road would be a tzr125 then i got the tzr125r wich was bigger and looked like a 400
then a rg125 - how i wish id kept that beauty

then i borrowed a friends kmx250 and took a jump a bit out of my depth and woke up with a nasty hole in my head and not a clue who i was where i lived or how i came to wake up with a bike on my head - still get bad headaches and the amnesia still hasnt recovered so a lot of memory of when i was younger is forgotten - or just lost lol

next up my dad bought me a brand newyzx15 then i did me big bike test and upto now had a nsr400, gsxf600,gsxr750 gsxr 400  cb500? i think thats what it was  then i built a custom one off yoshimura gsxr750 totnado - same as kevin schwantz raced in 85 took years of building and buying yoshi parts and tracking down a few ex race parts from the old yoshi bikes - then all that went up in flames - bought another gsxf600 and that was the last bike i had - next up on the cards im having a custom frame built to take a bandit 1200 engine in the style of a chopper with a custom iron maiden paintjob tuned to the max
