We got lots of good threads in this section, just thought of this one, the point of it I suppose (or hope) is to amuse and/or make each other have a laugh.  Good luck with all your contributions.
Here's my first one.

Wifes just gone to bed, tv on, just bought a dvd  think she prefers that to me Dog is in the dining room, snoring!!!  she has one eye open if I walk by her, food on her mind, ha she can wait

Mystery solved...  the bill is for next door.. the other side of the semi.
I rang BT again to give them the address and make sure they contact the number to change the details.
Next door said they haven't had a bill for ages and that they have asked several times for the address to be corrected.

But does make you wonder why my address was given in the first place.. as that number was first used when the houses were built..  maybe they thought they were getting this house and jumped the gun with BT.

All is quiet again, kids asleep Wifes looking for antique style mixer taps on ebay along with worktop, we are just about to change the kitchen in the house.  The current one is a horrible 70's job with those terrible aluminum strip handles which either fall off or draw blood often

Also done the from O/S wishbone and n/s rear brakes on a Mondeo for mate...  took an hour to get the drum off.. was stuck on there solid... but I won in the end..lol  :

Just waiting to hear back if it passed MOT as was the only failures apart from wipers.

The kitchen in my house is one from the 70's, dark blue faced chipboard with that horrible (and rather dangerous) aluminum handle on the edge.  Got the makings of a replacement kitchen of ebay for £82.  Thats what I will be doing for the next several weeks Taken 3 months to find suitable units without having to drive half the country for it.  Bidders on ebay can be absolutly nuts with their money sometimes though.  Highest price paid while I've been looking was over £900 - just for units
Will have to rebuild many of them, cant get away with changing the doors around as the old ones are an inch wider........it will take weeks!!!!

Just spent 2 1/2 hours in garage going thru about 14 boxes left of stuff still packed from move. Now know that most of it can be binned... especially as I have now found the most important bits.. Birth certificates and license.
Had to find the paper part of my drivers license so I can hire a van for work 2moro. Got to admit.. wouldn't be funny going in 2moro morning and telling them that I couldn't do the job I agreed to do. 
Luckily I do not have to pay for it or any fuel.. Tesco are paying for it all. I will be delivering goods between 15 stores from penzance to axminster and all between.

If I can swing it, might pop in and say HI ! to GT Gary if I've got a drop at Newton Abbot.
Gonna be fun as I know first run is Redruth Extra , drop off at Axminster.. then Exeter to Plymouth....
It's 2 hours to Exeter from me.. another half hour to Axminster.. if traffic is good.
So a round trip of 5-6 hours just on that run and got to get another in on way back ISH too.
Good thing is.. the hours they've given me I will only be driving for 3 days.. then 4 days off.. then 3 days in normal shifts then off for Halloween Meet..

Well Friday at 4.50pm 1 of the lads in the office came out with a ticket for delivery Saturday morning , so i thought i was having a joke by saying how comes when its not your Saturday to work you take more deliveries which we all had a laugh about, got in today had to see manager because i had to right a statement to explain what happened Friday because it is now under investigation.........................did i miss something or are we not aloud to have a joke with workmates or do i give the so called workmate a slap and get it over with....

Unfortunaley no pick-up or drop off there..
Had to go get the Van.. or should I say truck.. DAF 150 Y reg. Slow or what..
1st pick-up was Helston.. not ready and no call to arrange for fuel.. finally left abot 12.30.
Then over to Lee-Mills , Devon to drop off.... caught in traffic all the way along south cost.
Then up to Illminster, then Axminster... finally back to Lee Mills to drop off.. with 2 cages for Redruth collected.
Finally get to Redruth 9.30pm ..home at 9.55. Not bad seeing as I started at 9am.

Todays toakes me to my own store & fuel up.. then to Penzance, St.Austell, Exeter,Honiton & back to Exeter..
I can see me changing that as 2 drops at Exeter... if I'm not collecting I'll go from St.Austell straight to Honiton and drop off on way home.. can use A30 for final run then..
Last night driving back along A38 from Lee Mills was real fun.. up,down bending all the time and not one street light..  
Oh.. top speed.. 64mph downhill. otherwise just 50-55mph.

hi everyone well not had a good week grandad had a couple of falls at begining of last week seemed ok in him self ,doctor checked him said he was ok went downhill from there,stopped eating and drinking ,whole family chipped in ,well aunty and uncle . tryed everything to get him sorted and back to his normal self .think he had just had enough of fighting ,passed away this morning at 5 past 8 so 5 months ago my mum and now me grandad .he was 89 years old so put up a good fight .just think he missed his daughter too much .just got to sort out what i,m going to do been his carer for 10 years ,very long time .              right someone put something on to make me laugh and cheer me up .

Managed to get quite a lot of units changed so far in just a few days, kitchen is a mess though but still usable.  The end price is critical of course though, £82 for units, £5 ceramic sink (not counting the £10 I paid for one a few weeks earlier--it was cracked grr!)£18 for screws and plasterboard, £35 for caulk, Impact adhesive and screws, £6 for contact, £11 white silicone, £17 Roller Blind, £15 for paint..............My time and talent............Priceless

Still to get, worktop, £31 for taps, £10 for worktop (Duropal 4.1 m), £41 for new extractor, £5 extractor pipe, £28 plus 160 miles in pinky for dishwasher, should have most if not all of the fittings

I finally got flash working well in Ubuntu Linux. Took another browser to do it but at last no more stealing my laptop to watch the latest episode of whatever.

Just in time for Ubuntu 9.1 to be released breaking everything again no doubt Sticking with it though and seriously tempted to install it in more stuff as more old creaky Windows break

Also tempted by Windows 7 but not by it's prices

It's been a long week! all units in now, but still got worktop, sink, taps, unit trims, painting and decorating to do yet.  got to go to London in the morning for a dishwasher.......£27 off ebay, cheapest one of the lot and its got a door which is a good match.  Got second load for the tip on the trailer too

Finished dialling in the laptop for internet usage and installing video drivers. Completion of the masterplan to get the pc's loaded and internet ready up stairs, is near the,................nearly completed stage.
Just need to price up a new ISP.

This week has been even longer, been stuffed with flu, aches, pains everywhere   You can tell by my lack of posting, no doubt.  It is going to take a few more days to get back to form.
I've still managed to rip out all the old kitchen and put in the new, ran out of money though with the worktop and extractor still to get
Using old worktop still, does the job for now.

Just watched the European Finals at santa Pod on Motors TV.. the evebt I had planned on attending... but couldn't afford to this time round. 

Looked a great turn out with them turning people away at the gates as track was full to capacity.. Loads of cars racing too.
Top Fuel Dragster lost a rear wheel halfway up track.. driver walked away.. 
Several new speed records set.. Promodified being one of the classes breaking into the 5 second barrier....

really looking forward to next easter.

Got the worktop in MK last night at last, for £10, great bargain, its 4.1 meter's long and the lady gave me the other bits left over so I got enough to finish it............Guess what I'm doing today
Keep an eye on the earlier post about this............especially if you want to know just how cheap a kitchen can be re-fitted at.  Mr Brown and co wont get much tax out of me for this

I'm glad that's all behind me now... had to do all that at last place.. plus bath, build garage, playhouse, etc.etc.
The only job other than sort out garage of stuff is to paint the hand rail on stairs... as it's open plan I'm still trying to get it done.. but 3 kids and a KIMBERLEY are always in the way..  never mind I'll get around to it one day.

They're good enough for watching top fuel drag racing.. so should be great inside the house.
I used them once when the gas board were digging up the path outside my house when I was working nights.
Thay'd start the pnuematic drill up at 8am just as I was dropping off... then keep going all day til just before I went back to work.. for nearly a week. But using the defenders and plugs together I did manage to get some sleep.. even though you could feel them drill the path outside.

Second consecutive day my new esti got another towing test, yesterday went and got a trailer body, 9 ft by 4 ft, sits perfectly on top of my existing trailer which is a foot shorter, today loaded it up with rubbish and filled the inside of the car with good stuff.....you could tell it was heavy as it was down on the springs   Tomorrow for the third day off to Cambridge for a bed for my littlest one 125 miles along the dreaded A14    40L veg gone into her so running tomorrow at around 85%

Only difference you'll notice when running veg is it's a liuttle lumpy ticking over when cold. But once up to temp you wouldn't know you were running veg apart from the smell.

Veg+cold engine can cause hunting apparently, can also cause lazy acceleration when you least expect it

The 85% ish veg did make it a bit lumpy this morning until the engine got warm, it wasnt bad...I've heard Pugs sound far worse....with no veg   Its fantastic to see the nil difference factor on how they run on it compared to diesel.  Done my 125 miles round trip, was back at 12, having done the school run too
