ACCESSORIES FOR YOUR TOYOTA ESTIMA Original first then others
« on: March 04, 2010, 05:13:27 PM »

For those of you wishing to ''bling'' your Esti, the following is a list......and pics if I can find them Shocked
Lets forget about the standard stuff from this post on, like the hot/cold box, and the option of 2 other centre console units, the choice of manual or electric curtains, the choice of deep pile mats and regular, spoilers and anything else ''normal'' on our buses but certainly not on virtually every other car on the road....to this day.

If you know of something, please feel free to add!

Lets start off with this, an aircraft type tray and drink holder (Just got this pair of fleabay Grin) £25 Cool
These are gray, but I guessing they came in brown too.  These are so discolored they are almost brown.  Suits me fine.  GrinGrinGrin

Next is a rear bumper spoiler, £22 of ebay recently, would be little use if, like me you have a towbar on it already.

The TV, Radio, Cassette and CD player, sadly couldnt work here as it's not region 2, but astonishing technology to have in a car in 1992!

Look at all the plug holes on that, wanna wire one up! GrinGrinGrinGrinShocked

Third picture is the even more extremly rare is the flip down monitar, sadly all are totally useless as they are region 1, and if you really wanted to install this original set in your esti.....a near impossibility to wire.....I have seen the wiring loom.....

The umbrella holder, only came accross one of those,  its a very rare item, fitted behind the drivers seat and next to the driver seat belt, held your brolly upright and had a shallow cup to catch the water.

Thanks to wurzel we have a picture! albeit from a Hi-Ace but I'm sure its very similar if not the same.  In the Estima its mounted next to the pillar......I think but not on the panel, I think the panel is ahorter or has a piece cut out to accomodiate it.

This steering wheel finished recently on ebay,

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=110501777262&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT

Has been the only one for a very long time, lots of steering wheel covers (yuk) though

Always thought this type of steering wheel looked incomplete, that hole at the cowling and unlike the standard wheel its not blended/molded into the cowling either....just does'nt look right Embarrassed

Second steering wheel pic added

I've been considering an lcd pc monitor.. and fitting an invertor to power it.
Then making up a flip down assembly.. maybe use a 14" monitor.. Undecided
Then use pc speakers ..again powered by the invertor for the sound in the rear.
