Phoned back and had a brief chat before one of our phones gave in Grin

Shame I didn't think of it, or know of his itinerary, could have met him for a coffee on the way through.

Surely this should have been an earhole! earhole! rather than an eyeball! eyeball! though?  Grin

We were both on a similar stretch of the M6 at the same time, more of a binocular, binocular Smiley

Made it for 2200, even without stopping (or actually sticking to the speed limit for that matter) sat nav was still over ambitious with the arrival time.

I wish I had known what was happening too, a roughly thrown together plan involved a bus at 2200 on Fri, walk to tube, tube to tower, walk to fenchurch st, train to upminster, estima pickup to south ockendon. I knew where I was going but not really when I was going there and not entirely sure I was heading the right way most of the time Tongue

From there the only thing I could say for sure is that I would be heading North and most likely on the m6
Since my phone had decided that it's going to ignore 4 bars of signal and declare there was no service what there was of my vague plan ended up in the air.

Next time I'm down south on a daytrip I'll try and organise myself sooner (and better too)
