Estima front seats
« on: March 29, 2011, 12:21:21 PM »

Hello there,
Can the front seats in a 1996 narrow bodied petrol Estima be converted into swivel seats?

Before I strip down the seats could the second seat row seats bases which have swivel bases be fitted to the front seats?

No they cant. I had a good look at mine (took covers and foam off) as I am converting it to a camper. The frame is different in the base of the seats and the swivel part bolts to the floor and the front seats are hinged at the rear. Also the lump of the engine touches the bottom of the front seat so this leaves no room to fit a swivel. The only way I could see around this would be to make up a new frame on the floor and find some swivel seats with a low profile or your head will be hitting the roof.
