« on: March 26, 2012, 07:41:38 PM »

Hi all. im pleased to be a part of this forum, having just bought an 8 seat Toyota previa im sure i'll find answers to mant questions here. My car im affraid to say is a little worse for wear, but as its a car thats going to be with us for a very long time, im happy to put afair bit of work into it, ive even made up a facebook page for it  CheesyThe car in question is a 1995 'M' 2.4 Previa GS in red. its an old and tired car, but with lots of TLC it will spring back to life im sure.

Thanks all Smileyyes i agree, these are becoming rare, i see alot of estimas around but only 1 or 2 previas. mine is currently going through a 'change'  Cheesyif thats what you want to call it, rather than see it broken, im reconstructing it, and having 8 seats, it suits my family perfectly. How can i put up a pic to show my car? what am i looking for to do this?

Would any1 believe me if i said there was no rust to be seen any where on the car.......ive just had to change the drivers front wing as the indicator lense wasnt locating correctly, i got this car about a month ago and it was in a sorry state, but with me i like to bring cars back to life, its a challenge. i have even created a facebook page for the car so others can see whats happening to the car. apart from the engine block itself, 95% of parts have been replaced, inc radiator, all suspension, steering rack, wish bones, ball joints, all braking system inc calipers the list goes on.

Modifications
JDM TCR Kouki Taillights(imported from japan)
Bi-Xenon headlight conversion
Reverse camera
Parking sensors
LED bulbs all round(with all new relays)
Roof Spoiler
induction set up, just trying to get hold of a cold feed pipe.
DLR LED lights
double din touch screen head unit
inside/outside temp reader

ive just got hold of a K&N oil filter and magnectic sump plug.
here is the link for the facebook page for the car - http://www.facebook.com/pages/Project-Previa-The-Re-Birth/314678965248518

i hope every1 will take a look and like the page and spread word about it, this car is my very long term car so alot of work is going into it.

you have been on the bling chain. I think if it wast for me buying dentey the bus would had gone to the scrap yard. Had a botched cracked head when i bought it. found out for sure when i did a water change must have flushed out what ever sealant product they put in. Carried over a year on K-seal till I had the cash to do the fix

i had the very same issue with my jap nissan serena, that turned out there was no thermostat fitted either. lucky for me with the previa the bodywork is not too shabby, its all cosmetic work that needs doing. at the end of the build its going to be matt black all round, body, wheels, windows Smiley
